Trail Horse Adventures is conveniently located in Dead Horse Ranch State Park in Cottonwood, AZ. We are twenty miles south of Sedona, within a twenty minute drive of Historic Jerome, right outside of Historic Old Town Cottonwood and just a ten minute drive from Historic Clarkdale.

Experience the trails of Dead Horse Ranch State Park on horseback with a ride that covers many local landscapes, from riverbed to high desert to limestone hills, our rides show the vast differences that you will experience on the Arizona trails. View the beautiful Verde river from the trail and take a picture on horseback along the river surrounded by beautiful cottonwood trees.

In your ride you can experience beauty and wildlife that is signature Arizona. The Verde River makes this a lush oasis in the desert where a wide variety of animals and plants reside that are unique to Sedona and the Verde Valley. At Dead Horse Ranch in Cottonwood Arizona, much of the land we ride in has been set aside as a National Treasure, so it should come as no surprise that some of the most beautiful horseback riding in Arizona can be found here as well.
